Midnight

The midnight lovers stop and stare
A hint of moonlight in their hair
They lay there in that state of grace
Giving them a warm embrace

The childlike cries of pleasure brought
To the surface nature taught
In sweet agony is her face
Her lover holds back from the race

At last the battle has been won
The sleepy lovers are as one
In each other’s arms they lie
and sweet caresses by and by
