Things are going fine as long as I don’t push too much. Over enthusiasm is not a good idea, not disastrous, but not the best course of action. Dilation is fine with the 1.25″ dilator going in fine and the 1.375″ going most of the way or possibly all the way in. I won’t go further until I pass six weeks. There’s definitely no immediate need to go further, so it is just as well to let things heal.
The newer dilators supplied by the surgeon, made by soul source, are much better than the original ones supplied by the grs surgeon. It’s ironic, I think the ones he has machined are really quite expensive, but they are perfectly straight and the anatomy isn’t and the soul source dilators have a slight “crook” that goes around the pubic bone.
You wouldn’t think it would matter much, but it does. I’ve recommended them to the original surgeon’s office and they’re going to take a look. Maybe being pushy will help and maybe not, we’ll see.
Otherwise I’m having to self treat a bit for bacterial vaginosis. The surgery required huge doses of antibiotics and despite taking probiotics that didn’t recolonize my little yoni, probably because I was busily applying neosporin all the time. Antibiotics are going to kill us, but wound infections are a bigger deal than BV and metrogel should clear it up in a couple of days. Harmless enough.
That’s all she wrote. In another three weeks I’ll go in and presumably get my clean bill of health.
