Illusion

We hide behind mirrors, masks and walls,
We hide what is pretty, we hide all our flaws,
We pull some parts in, we build some parts out
Tis all an illusion there can be no doubt

The flower in springtime sits there on the hill
It’s sisters around it in vast array will
Draw bees by the hundreds no need for art there
Just Nature’s fair caring, her word and a prayer

We live in some spot on our mother Earth
That is spinning around like some kaleidoscope mirth
Shoots round the orbit and the Sun she moves to
Round the center of a galaxy with a billion stars through

How small are we to hide what we are
Instead let us show all the foibles and flaws
Comfort one another, be what is true
And love who you can, special for you
