I spent much of the last week in a terribly depressed state, nearly suicidal at times. I was also puzzled as well as being in psychic pain as my depression had been in good control. Not to say I was always cheerful, but I was able to function well.
Suddenly I wasn’t and I was near tears on a constant basis. Literally going to sleep and waking up crying. Not fun.
Then I just as suddenly felt ok again.
So what happened? My Parkinson’s had been getting worse and I started taking Levadopa/Cabidopa again. Unfortunately I had forgotten how gradually it has to be started and messed myself up. I started at a tab a day (my wife remembers it started lower) and quickly went to two.
Even though I was off in ramping up, I still think I’ll be talking with the neurologist about alternatives. I don’t care to relive the last week again.

Wow…. really glad you figured out the cause and that the episode passed safely – but yeah, definitely worth looking at the alternatives whatever they may be!
